B MICS indicators TC.1, TC.2, TC.3, TC.4 and TC.5 refers to children aged 12-23 months; The MICS indicator TC.8, TC.10, TC.11a and TC.11b refers to children aged 24-35 months.
C BCG dose is further broken down by time of administration than dose. For children with vaccination records, 'Within 1 day' includes records of a dose given on the day of birth or the next day. For children relying on maternal report, information on timing of BCG vaccination was not collected. The calculation uses information on the time of delivery of the Hepatitis B dose at birth with the assumption that BCG was received on the same day. Cases with unknown time are not presented with decompositions, but are included in the total, which may represent more cases than the sum of the decompositions.
D According to the national immunization calendar, inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) has been administered in Kosovo since 2016, however, the group may include some cases of children who received oral polio vaccine (OPV).
E Hepatitis B dose at birth is further broken down by timing of dosing. For children with vaccination records, 'Within 1 day' includes records of a dose given on the day of birth or the next day. For children relying on maternal report, “Within 1 day” refers to 24 hours after birth, as this question is specifically asked in the recall question. Cases with unknown times are not shown in the decompositions, but are included in the total, which may represent more cases than the sum of the decompositions.
F HepB3 dose includes only children vaccinated according to the Kosovo calendar. The MICS TC.4 indicator on completed immunization for HepB includes children vaccinated according to the Kosovo schedule with doses 0, 1, 2 and 3 and according to the Serbian calendar with doses 0, 1 and 2.
G Measles and rubella are administered in Kosovo through the combined measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine.
H Basic antigens include: BCG, Polio3, DTP3, Measles. In Kosovo, MMR is given at age 12 months or later, and is therefore excluded from the 'Core Antigens' for children aged 12-23 months, and retained for ages 24-35 months. Therefore, the MICS TC.11a indicator on coverage by basic antigens refers to children aged 24-35 months.
I All antigens include: BCG, OPVr/IPVr, DTPr, HepB3, Hib3 and MMR, according to the vaccination calendar in Kosovo.
J 'All antigens (excluding revaccination)' includes: BCG, Polio3, DTP3, HepB3, Hib3, MMR.
